Sheriff’s office arrests man on drugs and weapons charges – Macomb Daily

A Macomb County man is expected to be back in court Tuesday in connection with his recent arrest on drugs and firearms charges.

Kyle Nowak, 22, of Washington Township, was arraigned Thursday in 42-1 District Court in Romeo on charges of delivery/manufacture of less than 50 grams of a controlled substance and maintaining a drug house.

According to the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office, undercover deputies from the Macomb County Sheriff’s Enforcement Team (SET) executed a search warrant at a home on Van Dyke Avenue near West Road about 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Authorities had gained information about the resident, who was accused of distributing cocaine throughout the township.

Deputies were able to take Nowak into custody without incident as he walked out of the house.

A search of the house found:

• Multiple items used for packaging narcotics

• Zastava AK firearm (registered to Nowak)

• Marlin .22 caliber rifle (not registered) • Sig 9mm handgun (registered to Nowak)

• Multiple firearm magazines and ammunition rounds

After presenting their case to the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office, SET deputies obtained a two-count warrant was issued for Nowak.

A court official set bond for the suspect at $3,000. He is scheduled to return to court at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday for a probable cause conference.
